Meet Mrs. Penrose
I have been a teacher since 1978 and have taught second, third, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade homerooms as well as enrichment classes for grades 3-8. In 1995 my love for books led me to become a school librarian. I was the librarian at Old Bonhomme Elementary from 2006 - 2013 and earned my Masters in Library Science and Information Technology in May 2012.
I thoroughly enjoy our families, the staff, and all our wonderful students! The parents that volunteer to help in the library are fantastic!
My goal is to encourage all to find books that they will enjoy and to make all students confident library users of print and digital media. Students will come to the library once a week with their Communication Arts class and can check out two books.I will work with classroom teachers during Communication Arts block once a week.
We want to build an outstanding library. Please suggest books, videos, audio books, electronic books - anything that will excite students and enhance reading experiences.
